Hungry Lion, one of South Africa’s most recognisable fast-food brands, has partnered with Digicloud Africa to offer a valuable YES Learnership for unemployed youth in 2026. This initiative is part of the national Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, aimed at giving young people real work experience and improving their chances of long-term employment.

This learnership provides a structured pathway for motivated young individuals to gain professional skills, workplace exposure, and hands-on training at either the Hungry Lion Head Office in Stellenbosch or the Kraaifontein warehouse. Successful candidates will be contracted for 12 months starting February 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

Learners will be required to perform a variety of office-based tasks. These include, but are not limited to:

  • General administrative support (filing, data capturing, emails, office coordination)

  • Assisting relevant departments depending on placement

  • Following instructions and completing assigned tasks on time

  • Participating in learning sessions and completing all required modules

  • Maintaining a positive attitude and professional conduct at all times

The specific duties will be explained fully once candidates are placed in their respective departments.


Minimum Entry Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: 18–35 years old

  • Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen

  • Education: Completed Matric / Grade 12

  • Experience: Must not have been part of any previous YES Programme

  • Documents to attach:

    • Updated CV

    • Copy of your ID (certified)

    • Matric certificate/results (certified)

  • Must be able and willing to work in Stellenbosch or Kraaifontein

  • Must have basic computer literacy
