About the Visual Merchandiser Learnership
The main objective of this learnership is to provide work-based learning that prepares participants for roles in sales and merchandising. Learners will operate within a designated geographical area and report directly to the Account Developer.
You will gain exposure to:
In-store merchandising execution
Customer service and order facilitation
Promotional campaign support
Sales collaboration and reporting
Brand visibility management
This programme is ideal for individuals who want to build a career in Sales and Marketing within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution & Merchandising Excellence
As a learner, you will:
• Execute daily call schedules across assigned outlets
• Implement visual merchandising standards and stock rotation
• Ensure product availability, visibility, and quality
• Complete required surveys such as the iRED survey
• Educate customers on placing orders via the MyCCBA platform
• Support promotional activities to increase brand presence
• Provide relief support when required
You will work closely with the Sales Team and Account Developer to ensure alignment with company goals and execution standards.
Who You Will Interact With
This role involves engagement with:
• Sales Team Members – to collaborate and share knowledge
• Sales Account Developer – for guidance, training, and feedback
• Consumers – to understand purchasing behaviour and preferences
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are therefore essential.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership, applicants must:
• Have Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
• Have Grade 12 English and a second language (minimum 40%)
• Be a South African citizen
• Be between 18 and 35 years old
• Be unemployed at the time of appointment
• Not be enrolled in another learnership or full-time studies
• Not have previously completed the same qualification
• Have no criminal or adverse credit record
• Be willing to work six days per week
• Consent to criminal, ID, and qualification verification
• Be an Employment Equity candidate
A Driver’s Licence is advantageous and may be required.
A post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing will be beneficial but is not compulsory.
