🎓 Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a South African citizen and a resident of Mbombela Municipality.

Be between 18 and 35 years old.

Hold a Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

Possess a valid driver’s licence (Code B or higher).

Have no criminal record or pending cases.

Be physically fit and mentally sound (medical examination may be required).

Be willing to undergo extensive training, including shifts and weekend work.
🧾 Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Traffic Officer Learner, you will:

Learn to enforce road traffic laws and municipal by-laws.

Assist in promoting road safety awareness campaigns.

Participate in patrols, speed checks, and roadblocks under supervision.

Help manage traffic flow and accident scenes.

Prepare and maintain traffic-related reports and records.
📍 Training Details

The programme runs for 12 months.

Learners will attend a Traffic Training College accredited by the RTMC (Road Traffic Management Corporation).

The City of Mbombela will cover training costs and provide a monthly stipend of R6,500.

After successful completion, learners will receive a Traffic Officer Certificate (NQF Level 4), which is nationally recognized.
